Plastic Man, whose real name is Patrick "Eel" O'Brian, first appeared in Police Comics #1 (August 1941). He is a DC Comics superhero with the remarkable ability to stretch, bend, and reshape his body into virtually anything imaginable.
Originally a petty crook, Eel O'Brian was caught in a chemical accident during a heist, exposing him to an unknown acid. This transformed him into Plastic Man, granting him his unique powers.
